Long hours on the train and plenty of time to write a Pig Games app. The mechanics of the game wasn’t difficult to write because the game itself is not complicated. It is different to prepare a responsive and desktop version. It took by far the longest time, but the satisfaction is complete.

I used CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to write Pig Games. The most interesting thing is that while I didn’t mind using pure CSS at the beginning, it started to annoy me when I was creating the mobile version that I didn’t choose SASS. The project seems simple, but it shows that it is always worth designing pages from the beginning so that they can be easily expanded later if necessary.

This week I was only working on the Pig Games project, but to keep the blog from blowing boredom, I thought I would share some interesting links to interesting website.

  1. I don’t know about you, but I still have problems with the choice of colors. It’s not even about whether the colors match, it’s about what color to start with. Fortunately, there are more and more tools to facilitate this difficult choice. Among other things, an interesting project is https://www.happyhues.co/ You will find here interesting compositions that will make the designed website look attractive.
  2. Icons, oh icons – they get bored quickly, and basically, everyone is looking for those that are not known to users from a million other sites. On this page, you will find a whole range of exciting icons https://icons8.com/
  3. Choosing typefaces is a real challenge. It’s best to get defined fonts in the project, but this is not always the case. Combining with the typeface in production is, to put it mildly, a pain. Fortunately, a page has been created where you can quickly check if the fonts match. Super cool tool, the only thing missing is the ability to limit the selection to fonts that support native special characters: https://fontpairings.bypeople.com/
  4. Are you a freelancer and need the inspiration to create a document template? That’s great. There are a lot of different template pages available on the Internet, but few free template pages, and neatly sorted. Just like a toy store ? https://usefyi.com/templates/freelancer-templates/
  5. Finally, a real firecracker. I don’t know if you have heard about how artificial intelligence is creeping boldly into different areas of our lives? He gives medical diagnoses, plays games, creates songs, music videos, and photos. For example, you need a photo of models for your design, just go to https://www.generative.photos/, choose your face, photo context and you’re done. The photo can be used for free, provided that you leave your data on the website.

That’s it for this week. A short entry, but a few interesting links. If you want to share your knowledge about interesting websites for web developers, feel free to write in the comment section of this post.
